Enhancing, creating, sustaining

At Glenbarr Community Development Association (GCDA), we are focused on a long term sustainable vision in the planning and delivery of key identified objectives to create a future of opportunity, enhancement of local surroundings and infrastructure.

With a mix of new high-capital, regenerative and enhancement-focused projects, GCDA are looking to establish a better today and future for the village of Glenbarr.

Established in 2018, GCDA was created to manage newly acquired wind turbine revenues and other assets on behalf of the Glenbarr community.

Our present…

With a five person executive team, supported by a vibrant board and backed by our community, GCDA are focused on delivering our recently published five year strategic plan.

Our future…

With both the present and future in mind, GCDA is focused on short, medium and long term project delivery to bring continued benefit to the community of Glenbarr and surrounding areas.

Building a better future

Glenbarr Community Hub

Our flagship project will offer creative multi-functional, creative community space as well as welcoming and modern event and social spacing to the wider public.

Woodland Management

Glenbarr is blessed with an abundance of surrounding woodlands. Focus will be given to increasing woodland biodiversity, accessibility and outdoor amenities.

Investing in the community

By investing in properties in our community through the Household Improvement Programme, we hope to bring immediate and lasting benefits to residents of Glenbarr.
