GCDA’s 2026–2030 plan brings together community assets, practical village improvements, household support, participation and careful development of larger opportunities. Projects move through clear stages, with major commitments approved by the Board before work proceeds.

Dal an Duie Field

Glenbarr’s new community outdoor space officially opened on 29 August 2026, with accessible paths, parking and room for recreation, nature and local activity.

Long-term management

Dal an Duie Community Woodland

Responsible woodland management focused on biodiversity, safe access, native regeneration, learning and volunteering.

Ten-year management plan from 2024 to 2034
Three native trees planned for each tree removed
Future access work follows the woodland recovery phase

Doocot and Doocot Woodlands

Protecting the historic Doocot while assessing safe access, future woodland responsibilities, affordability and community priorities.

Stabilisation work completed in November 2025
Existing access licence runs until 2029
No woodland acquisition is being taken forward at present

Community Hub

GCDA is considering whether a community hub could meet identified local needs. No site, design or construction decision has been approved.

Helping residents access practical household improvement, smart-meter, energy-efficiency and sustainability support with suitable partners.
