Getting Involved

Become a member, volunteer, join a working group or bring your experience to the Board.

Take part

There is more than one way to contribute.

Choose a level of involvement that suits your time, interests and experience. Current opportunities will appear here and in the Member Centre.

Become a member

Eligible residents can apply for GCDA membership. Check the membership conditions on the registration form.

Open membership form (PDF) →

The form opens in a new tab. Use the download or print button, then complete and sign it. No Google sign-in is required to view the form.

Return your completed form to GCDA in person or email it to hello@glenbarr.org.uk. Contact us if you need help or a paper copy.

Volunteer

Volunteer opportunities may include events, environmental work, practical projects and community activities. Every opportunity will include a clear role and named contact.

Join a working group

Working groups let residents and people with relevant experience contribute directly to a defined project or programme.

Become a trustee

Trustees provide collective governance and strategic direction. Members may stand for election, while suitable people can also be considered for co-option in line with the constitution.

Offer specialist experience

GCDA may invite independent professional or technical input where a project needs it. Roles, interests and decision-making responsibilities will be declared clearly.
