Household support programme

Current position

The Household Improvement Programme has supported insulation and heat-pump activity. A Smart Meter Initiative was launched in June 2026 because a functioning smart meter can help households monitor use, access suitable tariffs and prepare for possible future solar or battery support. Any new financial offer remains subject to a viable delivery model, eligibility rules and formal approval.
