The Doocot stabilisation project was completed in November 2025. The Board subsequently considered the responsibilities and costs attached to acquiring the surrounding woodland and agreed in June 2026 that acquisition should not be pursued at present. GCDA can seek to establish a suitable path under its existing access licence, which runs until 2029.
