Nestled in the picturesque Argyll and Bute area of Scotland, Glenbarr is a charming village on the west side of the Kintyre peninsula. Known for its scenic beauty, Glenbarr is surrounded by mature woodlands, a winding glen, and the winding river Barr, offering a perfect escape for nature lovers.

Demographics

Glenbarr is home to over 130 residents living in more than 60 residential properties. The village has a diverse age range, with an average age of 51, and includes young families as well as elderly residents. Females make up 54% of Glenbarr’s adult population. The village features a mix of privately owned traditional Scottish dwellings, active social housing, farmhouses, and new builds. The village also has its own primary school, village hall, and a nearby GP surgery. Conveniently, a bus stop in the village provides multiple daily connections to Campbeltown (15 minutes) and Glasgow (3hrs) along the A83, immediately adjacent to Glenbarr village.
